Welcome to the English page of St Joseph’s Mercy Secondary School.

We strive to ignite within each student a love and passion for the English language and literature. Our students develop a comprehensive range of language skills and concepts necessary for the 21st century.

Essay writing competitions, reading initiatives and theatre outings all complement the syllabus and greatly enrich and enhance our students’ experience of English at second level, we also work closely with the school’s librarian, Ms B Kerrigan.
