Guidance
In class, topics such as study skills and exam techniques are discussed.
The Guidance Counsellor meets with class groups of first years to help them with their subject choice. Any student having difficulty with their decision is seen individually by the Guidance Counsellor.
3rd year students are given a battery of aptitude tests and career interest tests. Class groups are then seen to outline the subject policy of the school and to explain consequences of subject choice.
An individual appointment is made for each 3rd year and Transition Year student who wants one to discuss options and an information night is held for parents/guardians.
Individual appointments are also arranged for students who wish to discuss areas such as homework, adjusting to school, subjects, study skills and exam stress.
